​Raphael Springs Academy is seeking a passionate Orchestra Teacher to join our faculty and guide students in the beauty and discipline of string music.

This role includes teaching a combined 3rd–4th grade strings class as well as our middle school orchestra, helping students develop foundational skills while nurturing confidence, listening, and collaboration through ensemble playing.

The ideal candidate is comfortable teaching across the four core orchestral strings: violin, viola, cello, and bass, and enjoys working with students at varying stages of musical development.

Position Details

• Part-time position

• 2–3 afternoons per week

• Teach a 3rd–4th grade combined strings class

• Lead our middle school orchestra program

• Located in Dripping Springs, Texas

Responsibilities

• Introduce and develop skills in violin, viola, cello, and bass

• Foster a joyful yet disciplined approach to music and ensemble playing

• Support students in building musical confidence, listening skills, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Proficiency teaching violin, viola, cello, and bass

• Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students

• Ability to work with both beginner and developing musicians

• Passion for music education and working with children
